BROWNS AGREE TO TERMS WITH LB SHANTEE ORR ON A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT
The Cleveland Browns have agreed to terms with LB Shantee Orr on a one-year contract, the club announced today.
Orr, 6-1 and 246 lbs., split last season with Houston and Jacksonville and appeared in a total of nine games, including two starts. Orr began the year with Houston and appeared in six games, including two starts for the Texans and added three tackles.
Orr was waived by Houston on Nov. 28, 2007 and was signed by Jacksonville on Dec. 12, 2007 and also appeared in three games for Jacksonville with three tackles. Orr, 26, has played five seasons in the NFL with Houston and Jacksonville and has appeared in 51 career games, including 25 starts. Orr has totaled 89 career tackles and 10.5 sacks for 64.5 yards and has added 25 career tackles on special teams. Orr originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Michigan in 2003. His best season statistically came in 2005 with Houston where he played in all 16 games, including 12 starts, and had a career-high 47 tackles and seven sacks.
