BROWNS TERMINATE THE CONTRACT OF DB KENNY WRIGHT
The Cleveland Browns have terminated the contract of DB Kenny Wright, the club announced today.
Wright, 6-1 and 205 lbs., appeared in seven games last season and added three tackles and one quarterback pressure. Wright is a nine-year NFL veteran and has appeared in 133 career games, including 57 starts, with Minnesota, Houston, Jacksonville, Washington and Cleveland.

Marla Ridenour, of the Akron Beacon Journal, reports Cleveland Browns CB Kenny Wright already had a marijuana possession charge pending when he was picked up last month in Pearland, Texas, according to Brazoria County (Texas) district attorney Jeri Yenne. Wright was charged March 1 with Class B misdemeanor possession, which is less than two ounces. A hearing on the March charge is scheduled for June 27.
