 GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre says he has not yet made a decision on whether to play next season, but would lean toward retirement if he had to decide right now. "I wish I knew," he said in an interview that aired Sunday on ESPN. "I still know I can play. I still love to play. But there's just so much more to it than that now. I never thought it would be complicated, never thought I would give out mentally before I did physically. "If I had to pick right now and make a decision, I would say I'm not coming back." The 36-year-old Favre threw a career-high 29 interceptions this season and failed to throw for more than 20 touchdowns for only the second time since 1993 as the Packers finished 4-12 for their first losing season since he joined the team in 1992. Denver sources have told FOXSports.com that the Pro Bowl wide receiver and his agent Drew Rosenhaus went to Denver on Monday to meet with Broncos officials at the house of coach Mike Shanahan. Shanahan wasn't present at the meeting, according to sources, but others in the organization met privately with Owens. Owens and his agent have been given permission to seek a trade out of Philadelphia. And teams such as Denver, Dallas, Tampa Bay and Miami have been linked to his services. Owens' days in Philadelphia have been anything but quiet, as he's publicly questioned quarterback Donovan McNabb's ability to run a team and has clashed with head coach Andy Reid. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have made an early offer to rework Steve McNair's contract and are waiting for a counter proposal from the quarterback and his agent. A new deal would help lower McNair's salary cap number, which has been estimated at $14.5 million for 2006. General manager Floyd Reese said Monday a lower cap number would give the Titans more room to add help for a team that went 4-12 last season. READ MORE

 IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys hired Chris Palmer as quarterbacks coach Monday, reuniting him with coach Bill Parcells, quarterback Drew Bledsoe and receiver Terry Glenn from their days in New England. Palmer worked for Parcells on the Patriots from 1993-96. He was the receivers coach the first three seasons, then took over the quarterbacks in 1996, helping the club reach the Super Bowl.Palmer fills the vacancy created when passing game coordinator Sean Payton left to become head coach in New Orleans. Payton called the plays for Dallas last season, but Parcells likely will resume that duty. READ MORE
