Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Marcus Robinson, right, pulls down a 32-yard touchdown pass, his third of the game, from quarterback Brad Johnson as Cleveland Browns cornerback Liegh Bodden, right, defends Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, in Minneapolis.

Brad Johnson passed for 207 yards on 19- of-28 throwing with three touchdown passes, all to Marcus Robinson, as the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Cleveland Browns, 24-12, at the Metrodome.

Robinson's three touchdown receptions, his only catches of the game, accounted for 32 yards for the Vikings (6-5), who have now won four games in a row and moved above .500 for the first time this season. Travis Taylor hauled in five passes for 70 yards and Jermaine Wiggins added another 67 receiving yards on five catches.

Mewelde Moore paced the Minnesota running game with 67 yards on 21 attempts.

Reuben Droughns rushed for 73 yards and added another 46 yards on five catches for the Browns (4-7), who have lost five of their last seven games. Trent Dilfer ended 23-of-35 passing for 214 yards with one touchdown pass and a pair of interceptions. Dilfer also lost two fumbles in the loss.

Steve Heiden caught five passes for 55 yards and Dennis Northcutt had a nine- yard touchdown reception for Cleveland.

Minnesota would draw first blood after a 43-yard field goal by Paul Edinger, capping off a 12-play, 41-yard opening drive that used up 7:02 of clock time. Taylor caught three passes for 41 yards during the march that saw the Vikings penalized three times for 15 yards.

Back-to-back turnovers would setup the Vikings second score of the game and a 10-0 edge.

Johnson was intercepted by Chris Crocker at the Cleveland 14 and the defensive back returned the ball 24 yards to the 38. However, Dilfer would give the ball right back to the Vikings on the Browns' first play after he was sacked and fumbled. Darrion Scott recovered the loose ball, putting the Minnesota offense at the Cleveland 35.

Johnson then made up for his interception on the third play of the sequence with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Robinson with 4:22 left in the second.

Cleveland would crack the scoreboard before time expired in the first half. On 2nd-and-13, Dilfer hit Droughns for a 33-yard gain through the air to move into Minnesota territory and the Browns would eventually drive to the Vikings five-yard line. However, two straight false start penalties would push the Browns back 10 yards, forcing them to settle for Phil Dawson's 32-yard field goal with just four seconds left.

Another Dilfer fumble deep in his own territory led to Robinson's second TD reception of the game. After the turnover gave Minnesota the ball at the Browns 17-yard line, Johnson hit Robinson on a second 15-yard scoring strike on the drive's fourth play, extending the Vikings to 17-3 with 7:24 left in the third quarter.

Dawson's 38-yard field goal conversion with 3:27 left in the third capped off a seven-play, 31-yard sequence that pulled Cleveland to within 17-6.

However, a Cleveland turnover would again lead to a Minnesota touchdown. Charlie Frye, on in relief of Dilfer, was intercepted by Darren Sharper at midfield on the first pass he threw and Sharper returned the pick to the Browns 32.

Later during the ensuing drive and facing 3rd-and-2, Johnson found Wiggins for a 17-yard gain one play before he hit Robinson on a two-yard touchdown pass, putting the Vikings ahead 24-6 with 8:47 left in the fourth.

Dilfer's nine-yard touchdown strike to Northcutt capped the scoring in the game with 1:06 left. Droughns two-point conversion run failed.

Game Notes

Frye's interception was the only pass he threw in the game. Dilfer returned under center on Cleveland's next possession...Rookie Braylon Edwards made four catches for 42 yards for the Browns...Northcutt finished with two catches for 17 yards...C.J. Mosley recorded two sacks for Minnesota...The Vikings have won eight of their last 10 games against the Browns.
