[BEREA, Ohio] Browns coach Romeo Crennel plans to play Trent Dilfer on Sunday against Jacksonville if he is healthy enough to go.
Crennel acknowledged though that he needs to get rookie Charlie Frye some playing time to decide whether he's their quarterback of the future.
He says if they end the season without knowing what Frye can do, then that could set them back a year.
Crennel says Dilfer got banged up against Minnesota and an M-R-I showed tendinitis in his right knee.
Dilfer says it's more severe than tendinitis but wouldn't elaborate.
Frye grew up a Browns fan in nearby Willard. He says he's not getting overly anxious about possibly starting his first game at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
