Browns rookie quarterback Charlie Frye will make his first NFL start today vs. the Jaguars.
Frye, a third-round pick out of Akron, has appeared in two games so far this season. He played multiple series during the team's 22-0 win over the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 20. He played one play and threw an interception during the team's loss at Minnesota the following week. On the year, Frye has completed 6-of-12 passes for 58 yards and two interceptions. LG Joe Andruzzi (calf/knee) will miss his third consecutive game and will be replaced by Mike Pucillo. NT Ethan Kelley (knee) also will not play. He will be replaced by Jason Fisk. The Browns other inactives are DB Michael Lehan (hamstring), DB Brodney Pool (ankle), DB Antonio Perkins, WR Brandon Rideau and RB Jason Wright. Inactives for the Jaguars include RB Fred Taylor (ankle), QB Byron Leftwich (ankle), RB LaBrandon Toefield, G Dan Connolly, OT Mike Pearson, DE Marcellus Wiley, OT Ephraim Salaam and WR Cortez Hankton.
