BROWNS SIGN DB PETE HUNTER The Cleveland Browns have signed DB Pete Hunter as a free agent, the club announced today. Hunter, 6-2 and 208 lbs., played three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys (2002-04) and had 55 tackles, three interceptions, eight passes defensed and also added 18 career special teams tackles. Hunter was originally drafted by Dallas in the fifth round, 168th overall, in the 2002 NFL Draft out of Virginia Union. Hunter played three seasons with the Cowboys before being traded to the N.Y. Jets on July 14, 2005. Hunter was waived during training camp by the Jets on Aug. 10, 2005.
