Charlie Frye will be the Browns' starting quarterback Sunday in Cincinnati. Romeo Crennel made the announcement to the team and the media Wednesday morning. Crennel had previously said the starting quarterback would be a game-time decision. "It's probably unfair to both guys to wait," Crennel said. Crennel said he informed Trent Dilfer of his decision Tuesday night. "It ends up being another test for Charlie," Crennel said. "He knows he's the starter early in the week. Everybody else knows he's the starter early in the week. We'll see how he handles the situation."
