BROWNS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES The Cleveland Browns have placed C Jeff Faine on Injured Reserve, signed OL Dwayne Ledford to the active roster and signed RB Jason Wright to the practice squad, the club announced today. Ledford, 6-4 and 300 lbs., has played in nine games, including one start during his NFL career. In 2003, Ledford appeared in eight games, which included one start for San Francisco. Ledford originally began his career in 1999 on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad and portions of the 2000 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. Recently, he spent the 2005 training camp with the New Orleans Saints before being waived at the end of camp.
Wright, 5-10 and 210 lbs., has played in three games for the Browns this season and has totaled 11 carries for 27 yards and one rushing TD and three receptions for 15 yards. Wright originally joined the Browns when he was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 13. After spending seven weeks on the practice squad he was signed to the active roster on Nov. 3. In his first game with the Browns, Wright had eight carries for 19 yards and his first career rushing TD vs. Tennessee on Nov. 6, in a 20-14 win over the Titans.
